Very happy to report it’s been a busy spring for the HLEC, one that our leaders are using productively by creating relationships and cultivating existing ones.

One is with the Highland Lakes Democratic Women, which recently invited me to speak during one of their gatherings. They wanted to know more about our services and our role in the LGBTQ community and the Highland Lakes region. Many of you already know of our free counseling services and social gatherings and mingles as well as our education seminars that help counselors and therapists know how to better help LGBTQ members and their loved ones.

As a result, the HLDW decided to make a donation to the HLEC to help ensure we are able to continue to provide these valuable and important aids at no cost to attendees. And we can’t thank them enough for their generosity, especially after a global pandemic that affected so many people’s personal finances.

The HLEC receives many requests for our services, especially our counseling services, and more information on our seminars. We’re very grateful to the HLDW for helping us continue to keep providing what is vitally needed the most — friendships and mental health services.
